What's the accomodation like?

You have four choices of accomodation:

1). FREE Accomodation - If donating your time and an animal or building resources.
Stay at the farmstay with maximum [4] other volunteers in shared bunk accomodation.
Blankets, pillows, towels, storage lockers, and kitchen are included.

2). FREE Accomodation - If donating your time and an animal or building resources.
Stay with one of our Thai families either in a plain bungalow or their house.
Blankets, pillows, towels, storage lockers, and kitchen are included.
We suggest you check the host family before deciding on staying with them. You may feel more comfortable at the farmstay as some Thai houses can be quite basic with little personal space.

3). UPGRADE Accomodation - If donating your time and an animal or building resources.
200 Baht per night for the upgrade at a private location in your own bungalow and living quarters 300 metres walking distance away from camp. It is your own house and you are responsibile for cleaning and household duties.
Blankets, pillows, towels, storage lockers, and kitchen are included.

4). If you don't want to help on the farm or donate a animal but rather just stay at the farm and enjoy the piece and quiet, visit the local areas such as Koh Lanta, Krabi, and the waterfalls at your own expense. Then you can just complete the booking form to check for availability.
The price is 300 baht per day including sharded accomodation, food and facilities.

In all cases free meals are supplied at the farmstay or your hosting families house.  If you prefer you can even use the kitchen to cook your own meals at the farmstay.

So what meals are included?

Volunteers, people donating to the farmstay and people completing projects all get three meals each day of their stay.

Each morning we have breakfast at one of the local food stalls. It usually consists of either a pancake and coffee, or steamed chicken on rice with chicken soup, or fried crumbed chicken breast on a bed of yellow rice also with chicken soup, or fresh farm eggs on toast with mushrooms and tomatoes.

Lunch is usually a garden salad, sandwiches, fresh fruit, and a light curry on rice.

Dinner is what crops we pick from the garden, the fish we catch in the canals, the chickens we raise at the farm, or the curries we make in the kitchen. Basically anything we grow or raise is available for the dinner table.

What if I don't like the food?

If you don't like the food we cook you can pick your own crops and produce aswell as use the chicken, duck, fish, beef and goats in the freezer to make your own meals.

There is also a market about 4 minutes on the motorbike where you can buy all sorts of things to eat and sample. If you just want a snack of crisps or chocolate there are shops and coffee stalls just a few hundred metres away.

Whilst staying at the farmstay you will also learn to cook Thai cuisine with Mama Yai and other various dishes with Jerry a qualified chef and butcher.

Do you have a laundry service?

You can use our washing machine at the farmstay or at your host families house. You just have to purchase your own laundry detergent and ensure you keep the areas clean. Your treated like a adult here and the farmstay hopes you respect the free services offered to you.

Do you have Internet Services?

If you have a laptop you can connect to the web with one of the farmstay's mobile phones. You just have to purchase the credit on a sim-card and login via the mobile phone.

If you want to use the public computers there is a nice internet shop a few hundred metres away. The internet speed is fast, the shop clean, and it serves all sorts of milkshakes, hot coffee and pancakes. Internet connection is only 20baht per hour.
