Join us on one of our Projects! Camp Adare Krabi is looking for volunteers that want to help with improving the quality of the camp and help the local community in creating a self-sustainable lifestyle. Your donation on each project is used to purchase the resources and pay for any labour required. It is also used by the camp to provide you with accomodation and your meals throughout your stay at the camp, and pay for any entrance fees to some of the places you will visit. It is a cost effective way to holiday in Thailand, see the sights, learn the culture and customs, visit off beaten locations and relax in pure harmony. All we ask of our volunteers is to work as hard as your fellow workers, listen to your elders and camp leaders, respect the local community, their customs, cultural beliefs and way of life and follow the camp rules. It is very easy to fit in as everywhere here at the camp and in the local community are friendly and see the camp as a way of helping their own children succeed where they would not normally have the same oppurtunity of learning.

Painting Camphouse & Murals We want to spruce up the camp and paint it with bright colours. After it is painted you will stencil designs and murals onto the walls which the students will then paint themselves learning how to mix colours, and how to paint murals. The murals will be used as teaching aids which the teachers can point to when trying to translate between english and the thai language. This is a hands on job which you will completing by yourself with the guidance of the camp leader. Initially you will need to scrape some surfaces clean and sand some panels of wood before the painting can start. Your donation primarily will be used to purchase the supplies needed to complete the job. As part of your donation you receive 4 weeks accomodation and 3 meals a day. Donation: 12,000baht Time to Complete: 120 hrs/4 wks Workers: 1 Location: Camp Adare Krabi Manager: Camp Leader Bonus: This project has a bonus of a motorbike trip to Koh Lanta with the camp leader to visit the national park. Signage and Marketing How can people find us if we don't have big bright signs showing them where we are? We need you to paint some big plywood panels with our details on them which will be placed on the main road and throughout the campsite. They are the first and last things that our visitors and guests will see. Everyone travelling to Krabi and Phuket will see the signs you paint. Your donation will be used to buy the plywood, and supporting posts along with any extra paint that is required. You will be working individually following templates provided to you by the camp leader. It is a easy job but probably one of the most important in our marketing strategy. Chicken Hutch and Holding Pen Our chickens hutch needs repairing so we thought we would surprise them and build a new one. This is a physical job which you will be completing with the camp leader and a labourer. Your donation will be used to pay for the bamboo and wood we take from our neighbours. It will also be used to upgrade the roosting areas for the chickens. First you will need to visit one of our neighbours where you will cut bamboo and the wood to construct a hutch. When enough bamboo has been cut it will be brought back to the camp where you will then build the hutch following simple plans. Once the hutch is completed you will then erect wooden posts which will hold the mesh fencing up as their enclosure. As part of your donation you receive 4 weeks accomodation and 3 meals a day.
